Teaching a young child about the ducklings, chicks, and calves that all live together in the barn is fine, especially if you happen to be rearing that child with his seven siblings on a farm…in 1930. However, our children are being raised in the 21st Century in a world filled with pop stars, turmoil, and grande mocha lattes. This is why we three dads – Brad, Marc and Robert – founded Need To Know Publishing and created the What Every Child Needs To Know series of board books for young readers and pre-readers: to explain adult society to young children. Using honesty, integrity, simplicity, and, when appropriate, humor, the What Every Child Needs To Know series tackles the issues and icons that color day-to-day life. These books are the perfect way to introduce young children to a favorite artist, to start a conversation about a difficult topic, or just to explain why we adults are the way we are.

Pint Size Productions
Once upon a time, so the story goes, a pint size factory in upstate New York sat and watched as printers from around the world made board books for children. “Oh,” thought the little plant. “If only I could make these wonderful little books right here in United States. There would be no more waiting or worrying about producing their board books in far away places.” That little factory became Pint Size Productions, the only printer of board books in the U.S. Pint Size Productions is a family-owned business that is committed to quality, kids and the environment. In other words, they are just like us! Need To Know Publishing is proud to have all of our books printed in the U.S. by Pint Size Productions. Check them out. They are kind of great.
